Rootstock x Pell: Unlocking Bitcoin’s Potential on Rootstock

Pell aims to create a decentralized security leasing platform for the Bitcoin ecosystem. As Pell is now integrated with Rootstock, the community of BTC holders can now participate in DeFi activities, earn passive income through staking, and access cross-chain opportunities—all while staying within Bitcoin’s security model.

This guide will walk you through how to get started with Pell Network on Rootstock, from setting up your wallet to completing your first stake.

Guide to navigating Pell for Rootstock

Step 1. Getting started

Note: Before starting, ensure you have: WRBTC  already in your wallet.

  • Visit the Pell Network and navigate to https://app.pell.network/
  • Look for and click the [Connect Wallet] button in the top right
  • Connect your wallet
  • Ensure this wallet contains your BTC
  • Click [Connect] to establish the connection

Step 2. Earning Pell points

  • Navigate to the [Points] section
  • You’ll see various tasks available
  • Complete the verification process for each task
  • Points will be credited upon successful completion

Step 3: Accessing restaking features

  • Find and click the [Restake] button, this opens the restaking dashboard
  • Review all available BTC types eligible for restaking

  • Select Rootstock Mainnet Assets
  • Click [Rootstock Mainnet] to view supported assets and you’ll see WRBTC
  • Select [WRBTC] to proceed with WRBTC restaking

Step 4: Initiating your stake

  • On the WRBTC restaking page, look for [Deposit]

  • Enter your desired restaking amount and double-check the amount before proceeding
  • Complete the Transaction by clicking [Stake] to initiate the process
  • Your wallet will prompt you to sign the transaction
  • Review the details and click [Confirm] and wait for transaction processing (usually a few seconds)
  • Look for the “All done” confirmation message. This indicates successful restaking
  • Verify Your Position by checking the “Restaked” section. You should see your staked amount displayed
  • Keep this information for your records

Your BTC is now actively participating in the network, contributing to the broader Bitcoin ecosystem while earning rewards.
