The Staking Surge is live, running from May 15th till June 14th, and it’s your chance to earn a part of the $390k reward pool by staking rBTC and SolvBTC on Rootstock.
Whether you’re a long-time Rootstock user or a curious DeFi explorer, this guide will walk you through how to take part, what to do, and how to stack up rewards along the way.

TL;DR
The Rootstock Staking Surge brings together the Rootstock, Solv, and Pell communities for a campaign that is packed with staking incentives, raffle tickets, and loyalty points with a $390K rewards pool across DEXs and staking platforms.
The campaign consists of 2 parts with 2 reward pools. You can do either part to qualify for different rewards.
Part 1: On Solv Protocol
- Get rBTC
- Bridge/Mint SolvBTC
- Add your SolvBTC to liquidity pools on Sushi, Oku, or Woodswap
- The prize pool consists of $300K that will be distributed to all joiners
Part 2: On Pell Protocol
- Get WrBTC
- Restake WrBTC or rBTC
- Earn a raffle ticket for the $40K prize pool
If you have SolvBTC, you’ll also be able to:
- Restake SolvBTC on Pell
- Earn an additional raffle ticket for the $50K prize pool
Note: If you stake more than $50 worth of WrBTC, rBTC, and/or SolvBTC, you’ll be eligible for daily boosted rewards until the end of the campaign.

Step-by-Step Guide
For both parts of the campaign, you’ll need to:
1. Start with the Social Task
Complete a few simple actions:
- Follow Rootstock, Pell, and Solv on Twitter/X
- Retweet the campaign announcement

2. Get rBTC
If this is your first time exploring the Rootstock Ecosystem, you will need to add the Rootstock Mainnet Network to your wallet. And you can do so by clicking “Add Rootstock Mainnet to MetaMask”.
With the network added, make sure you have some rBTC for gas fees. If you don’t have rBTC, then you can acquire it on:
- Symbiosis: From BTC or EVM chains to rBTC
- Jumper: From any asset to rBTC
- Meson Finance: From BTC assets to rBTC

Solv Protocol Staking Campaign
1. Get SolvBTC or xSolvBTC Ready
Our journey begins with SolvBTC, SolvBTC is at the core of this part of the campaign and you’ll need it to unlock the rest of the rewards.
There are 2 ways to get SolvBTC:
- Mint SolvBTC directly on Rootstock on the Solv app.
- Bridge SolvBTC or xSolvBTC from other chains via Stargate, Jumper, Symbiosis, or Free.Tech (If you choose Free.Tech, it will take 24h for the assets to bring)
2. Put rBTC, SolvBTC, xSolvBTC to Work
Once you’ve minted SolvBTC, you can start adding liquidity on one of Rootstock’s Merkl pools
Once you’ve taken these steps, you qualify for the incentives pool of $300K on the Solv Protocol and rewarded directly by keeping the liquidity in the pools.
If you still have at least 0.0005 SolvBTC, you can put that to work too in the Pell staking campaign.

The Pell Staking Campaign
1. Stake rBTC/WrBTC on Pell
- Stake $7+ to earn daily rewards
- Stake $50+ to get a daily boosted reward
- Earn 1.5x Pell Points during the campaign
2. Stake SolvBTC on Pell
If you have a minimum of 0.0005 SolvBTC, you can put it to work on Pell too:
- Minimum stake: 0.0005 SolvBTC
- Earn 1 daily raffle ticket
- Bonus: 1.5x Pell Points + 3x Solv Points
