Flyover v2.3 Is Live : Automation, Smart Contract Pegouts & More Power for LPs

The bridge between Bitcoin and Rootstock just got significantly smarter.

Flyover v2.3 brings a new level of automation, flexibility, and increased developer friendliness to the Bitcoin bridging experience. Whether you’re a liquidity provider, a dApp developer, or a Bitcoiner exploring Rootstock, this release strengthens the foundation of Bitcoin-native DeFi.

What’s New in Flyover v2.3?

Enhanced Automation & Control

  • Peg-in/Peg-out Automation: Trusted whitelisted accounts can now bypass manual captchas, enabling seamless automation of transactions.
  • Self-Service Refunds: Users can now trigger refunds themselves through the SDK—no more waiting on support or operators.
  • Refund Improvements: Peg-in and Peg-out refund flows are now more robust and reliable.

Smart Contract Compatibility

Pegouts via Smart Contracts: LPS can now accept pegout payments from another smart contract instead of just EOA accounts, expanding DeFi use cases and automation.

Security & Validations

  • New validations in the LP Management API add integrity to refund, caps, and quote interactions.
  • General security hardening throughout the system to improve robustness.

LP Tools & Dashboards

  • Whitelisted Account Management: LPs can now easily add, edit, or remove trusted addresses through the UI—including setting name tags and transaction caps.
  • Expanded Amount Field: Upgraded from uint64 to big.int, supporting bridging amounts beyond 18 rBTC.
  • New Endpoints for LP Visibility:
    • Financial Summary
    • Peg-in Quote Summary
    • Peg-out Quote Summary
    • Transaction History

Higher Transaction Limits

  • The bridge now supports up to 25 BTC / 25 rBTC per transaction*
  • This opens the door to institutional-sized liquidity, whale transfers, and larger DeFi operations on Rootstock.

* To be enabled by the Liquidity Provider

Why This Matters

For Bitcoiners

  • Peg-in to Rootstock faster and with confidence using automated flows
  • Peg-out to smart contracts, enabling advanced DeFi interactions and custodial use cases.
  • The most secure, native bridge into Rootstock just became more user-centric and resilient.
  • With the new 25 BTC limit, moving meaningful capital from Bitcoin into Rootstock is faster and more streamlined.

For Liquidity Providers

  • Manage liquidity flows more transparently with detailed financial summaries and quote insights.
  • Onboard automated clients through trusted accounts and customized caps.
  • Scale safely with upgraded data limits and stronger API safeguards.
  • Serve higher-value clients with the new 25 BTC transaction cap.
  • Support large-volume flows without splitting or batching txs.
  • Combine new API endpoints + high-value transfers for full financial visibility and LP scalability.

For Developers

  • Programmatic pegouts to smart contracts unlock powerful new patterns for custody, DAOs, and DeFi apps.
  • Trusted account automation opens the door for zero-friction integrations across wallets and protocols.
