Liquid Stakingon Rootstock

New Use Case Unlocked on Rootstock: Liquid Staking

Rootstock is now integrated with two of the leading protocols in the liquid staking space, Bedrock and Solv Protocol. This unlocks a new use case for Rootstockers and the Bitcoin ecosystem: liquid staking

Until now, staking has largely been associated with proof-of-stake chains like Ethereum. But with these integrations, Bitcoin users can now access similar yield-generating opportunities, without leaving the Bitcoin ecosystem and without sacrificing liquidity.

Stake without sacrificing liquidity

Liquid staking allows users to stake their rBTC, the DeFi-ready Bitcoin on Rootstock, and receive liquid staking tokens (LSTs) in return on Solv (solvBTC and XsolvBTC) and Bedrock (uniBTC and brBTC).

This means you can earn staking rewards while simultaneously using your LSTs to lend, borrow, trade, or farm additional yield. It’s a flexible and capital-efficient alternative to traditional staking, where assets are locked and inaccessible.

With Bedrock and Solv’s infrastructure, Rootstock users will benefit from a seamless staking experience that unlocks the full composability of DeFi, all while their Bitcoin continues to work for them in the background.

Unlock powerful DeFi strategies

By integrating Bedrock and Solv, Rootstock enables advanced DeFi use cases that were previously limited to Ethereum or alt-L1 ecosystems. Bitcoin users can now access:

  • Yield farming using liquid staking tokens as collateral
  • Collateralized lending while still earning staking rewards
  • Composable DeFi strategies across a growing number of dApps on Rootstock
  • On-chain liquidity without the opportunity cost of locked assets

As the ecosystem grows, liquid staking will serve as a foundational building block for more complex products, such as automated vaults, structured products, and DeFi-native derivatives, all secured by Bitcoin.

Put your Bitcoin to work on Rootstock.

If you’re holding BTC, it’s time to do more than just HODL. Convert your BTC to rBTC, stake it via Bedrock or Solv, earn rewards, and stay liquid with powerful DeFi strategies, all without leaving the security of the Bitcoin network.

Rootstock is building the most secure Bitcoin DeFi layer. And now with the arrival of liquid staking, the opportunity to unlock more value from your Bitcoin has never been greater.
