This article is part of the “Bitcoin Developer Journey” series exploring different steps and guides for developers who want to dip their toes in the Rootstock ecosystem and start building DeFi on Bitcoin.

Alchemy, the leading blockchain development platform, has recently integrated into Rootstock. This integration brings the Rootstock developers a significant improvement in the experience of building on Bitcoin.

In this article, we’re exploring what this integration is bringing to the developers in the Rootstock ecosystem, and how to get started.

Read the full developer documentation here.

Benefits of Alchemy for Rootstock Developers

The integration of Alchemy brings the Rootstock developers a seamless way to interact with Bitcoin’s smart contracts, improving performance, scalability, and overall ease of development. This will be done via:

  1. Developer Tools: Get access to alerts, sandbox, logs, and a user-friendly dashboard interface, making it easier than ever to build on Rootstock.
  2. Scalable Infrastructure: Handle millions of API requests with minimal latency, ensuring that your dApp runs smoothly, even at scale.
  3. Alchemy’s suite of products, including NFT API, Token API and Transfers API
  4. Ease of Use: Alchemy’s intuitive setup process allows you to connect to Rootstock within minutes. Focus on innovation, not on complicated setups.
  5. Multi-Chain Flexibility: Easily switch between Rootstock and other blockchain ecosystems from the same dashboard, making multi-chain development simpler.

Getting Started with Alchemy for Rootstock
