Build the Future. On Bitcoin. With Rootstock.

Bitcoin secures the network; Rootstock brings EVM-compatible smart contracts to it. If you’ve been waiting for the moment to build real applications on Bitcoin — and earn while you learn — Rootstock Builder Rootcamp is where that journey begins.

Applications Are Now Open

A few weeks ago, hundreds of developers joined the Builder Rootcamp Priority List. Thank you for your interest!

Today, we’re opening the official application phase, giving everyone else a chance to apply and be part of the first Builder Rootcamp.

If you already submitted your early interest form, there’s no need to reapply; if you haven’t applied yet, don’t miss the chance. Applications close on December 1.

Next Steps

  1. Application closes: December 1, 2025.
  2. Application review: All submissions will be carefully evaluated by the Rootstock DevEx team.
  3. Selection notification: Successful applicants will receive their acceptance email confirmation by mid-December 2025.
  4. Program start: Cohort 1 officially kicks off in late January 2026.

What Is Builder Rootcamp?

Builder Rootcamp is a 10-week hybrid, cohort-based program designed to equip you with the practical skills needed to start building dApps on Bitcoin with Rootstock. It combines structured self-study, weekly live sessions, expert guest lectures, and mentor support, guiding developers through a complete, hands-on journey into building on Bitcoin.

By the end of the program, participants will have:

  • A verified portfolio of practical assignments and a final project
  • Rootstock Builder Certification
  • Access to the RootstockCollective community
  • Exposure to career opportunities across the Rootstock ecosystem

Only 30 developers will be selected for Cohort 1.

Program Overview

Each week blends guided learning with practice and mentorship:

  • 🧠 Self-Study: Weekly learning modules covering key topics in Rootstock development.
  • 🎓 Main Live Session: Weekly class led by the Rootstock team (60–90 min)
  • 💬 Guest Session: Ecosystem partners and experts (45–60 min)
  • 🧾 Assignments: Course-based practical exercises
  • 🧑‍🏫 Mentorship: Async support and guidance on Discord
  • 🏁 Final Project: Completed through Hacktivator, eligible for rewards

💡 Bonus: During the program, Rootcamp participants are eligible for double rewards on any approved Hacktivator contributions.

Why This Matters

Getting started on a new blockchain stack can be challenging, from setup to feedback to staying motivated.
Builder Rootcamp bridges that gap by combining structured learning, expert guidance, and a strong community. Each week, you learn, build, and grow with direct support from Rootstock engineers and ecosystem mentors.

It’s not just a course, it’s your path to become part of the Rootstock developer community.
