Wasabi Release v 1.2.0 Is Here

We’re pleased to announce that a new RSK Wasabi release has been published in our Github repo. This release contains performance improvements, Ethereum compatibility fixes and security improvements.

Since rskj v1.2.0 includes security improvements, it’s strongly recommended that all users updated to this new version to avoid interruptions in their node’s operations. In line with this, our public nodes will serve rskj version 1.2.0 with no support to previous versions.

What’s new in this release?

A non-comprehensive list of changes included in this version is:

  • Ethereum compatibility fixes in logs (#1108)
  • Concurrent operations improvements (#1109#1116)
  • Several security improvements

Version 1.2.0 release’s sha256 sum is e3901dd011ee798559ee965186a4a54fdb2233acfd73bbe2e3164f66d821e661

rskj-core-1.2.0-WASABI-all.jar. See Reproducible Build guide for further details.

More on the Ethereum compatibility fixes

RSK client node version 1.1.0 and under are mistakenly returning logs’ empty data as ‘0x00’, while the correct value is ‘0x’. This has been fixed in version 1.2.0. For more details see the corresponding Github pull request.
