Vetiver 9.0.4: Patch Release

Vetiver 9.0.4 addresses several reported issues, including fixes for the Import Sync feature and the eth_estimateGas RPC method, along with security, performance, and reliability improvements.

Although this is not a mandatory release, we recommend that node operators upgrade to this version to benefit from the improvements it introduces.

The latest version of the RSKj client is now available for download from the RSKj GitHub repository

​​What changes are included in Vetiver 9.0.4?

A non-exhaustive list of changes included in this release is provided below:

  • Add logs for better monitoring federation change process, by [@julia-zack](https://github.com/julia-zack) in #3364.
  • Fix eth_estimateGas: don’t use the caller-provided gas as the simulation budget, by [@italo-sampaio](https://github.com/italo-sampaio) in #3520.
  • Fix invalid port handling in IpUtils, by [@alaningtrump](https://github.com/alaningtrump) in #3611.
  • Fix the Import Sync feature, by [@fmacleal](https://github.com/fmacleal) in #3669.

Is there anything I need to consider when upgrading to Vetiver 9.0.4?

There are no other special considerations beyond updating your node to the latest version

RSKj Vetiver 9.0.4’s sha256 sum is 79c2ea69c91092d6804dea75012d03e40057b11b1894783cd4923fd401f7c064 rskj-core-9.0.4-VETIVER-all.jar.
